Rightfully headlining our #SAVEOURVENUES event is a band that needs no introduction but are going to get a pretty monumental one because we love them so much. They’ve played SOLD-OUT shows all across the country, alongside heavyweights such as IDLES, Astroid Boys and Peace. They also frequent some pretty spectacular airwaves, bringing their amazing sounds to the likes of BBC RADIO 1, 6 Music, Kerrang! Radio and many, many more. Yes, we are talking about the wonderful band that is CHROMA, who we’re honoured to have scored as one of our Saturday night headliners for Immersed 2021.
The collective, consisting of Katie Hall, Zac Mather, Liam Bevan, has played some pretty prestigious FESTIVALS in the past, including Reading, Leeds, and Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend, so for them to add Immersed! 2021 to that ever-growing list is fantastic and we on the Immersed team are eternally grateful.
CHROMA’s latest single HEAD IN TRANSIT gives you a glimpse into their exciting lives as Katie’s powerful vocals catapult you into the world of Garage Rock for a transformative two minutes and fifty four seconds reminiscent of the likes of the great Biffy Clyro and Rage Against The Machine. CHROMA is undoubtedly a name that will enter household status soon, as they only continue to grow, flourishing in the madness that has been the last few months.
Their style and INDIVIDUALITY brings a whole new allure to Immersed, with their generosity and KINDNESS at the forefront. CHROMA have been known to raise awareness for good causes in the past, using their expanding platform for genuinely good deeds, such as raising AWARENESS for MENTAL HEALTH day, and joining a list of artists supporting the #letthemusicplay movement. They are now kindly helping Immersed raise money and appreciation for three more remarkable causes: the #saveourvenues movement, whose titular event the band are headlining, the #wemakeevents movement, and the heroic charity that is Teenage Cancer Trust.
It’s been a pleasure to watch this incredible band’s journey, and for that journey to lead them to headline Immersed! 2021 alongside all of our other truly amazing artists puts us forever in their debt.
