This year has been very challenging for all of us. As musicians we feel this more than most. The arrival of COVID and lockdown has made our lives significantly limited especially when it comes to live music. With Immersed! festival we tried our best to OVERCOME this hurdle. By making our festival an online experience we are able to give musicians the chance to perform, something they haven’t been able to do for a very long time and for viewers to enjoy live music from the comfort of their own home.
We of course are taking every precaution to make these filming's agree with the health and safety regulations issued by the government. This pandemic isn’t stopping us from being together, celebrating music and KEEPING THE CARDIFF MUSIC SCENE ALIVE. We don’t want Covid to be an obstacle for the music scene in Cardiff. Being UNITED through all this is so important and so our focal point for this year has become highlighting artists based in and around CARDIFF. We want to give a chance to upcoming artists to perform and showcase their music as there can be no concerts these days for them to do so.
Under the fantastic dome of CULTVR. The TRAMSHED venue that let our artist perform as if at an actual performance after lack of gigs for so long. Cozy sessions with bands performing their acoustic covers of their songs. Including recordings from our very own ATRIUM. All these fantastic venues encompass just how truly diverse Cardiff is and is something worth celebrating. Closely working with event and media production we have ensured there's something for everyone.
Even though, Immersed! this year is not going to be live, the online experience of it, it’s something worth joining in to. The three days over seeing this whole experience is certainly something you won’t want to miss.
