One of the main aims of Immersed is to MAINTAIN and SUPPORT the music scene in Wales and Cardiff. Things have been very difficult lately for live concerts due to the coronavirus. By organising IMMERSED ONLINE this year, we aim to do whatever it is possible for keeping Cardiff’s music live.
KEEP CARDIFF LIVE aka KCL have been one of our key SUPPORTERS when it comes down to this. It is made clear by their very name that KCL’s goal is keep Cardiff’s music scene ALIVE under any circumstances, like the current one. Their website publishes all of Cardiff’s music NEWS, including INTERVIEWS with people involved in Cardiff’s music scene and UPDATES on all the music EVENTS.
KCL deeply care for the promotion of Welsh artists, as well as upcoming artists. Their website clearly states their goals: “Cardiff has a RICH HISTORY of live music and this website aims to recall ICONIC moments of the past and HIGHLIGHT the present and future of the Cardiff music scene.” Their help is very important to us as we find it very encouraging to receive support. We are deeply GRATEFUL KCL recognise are same goals and have supported our festival so heavily.
In these difficult times for live CONCERTS, we are in greater need to organise a music event, even if it’s online. The purpose of music events is to UNITE people and now this unity is more important than ever. Even though, the festival cannot be a live experience, the feeling of joining together in an online event is enough to regain the feeling of COMMUNITY.
