THE VENUE
Our first night we are transported to CULTVR where our artist are performing under gorgeous and unique 360 dome.
Based in Cardiff, CULTVR are passionate about keeping the ARTS and CULTURE alive in Wales. The environment they provide for producers, filmmakers and performers allow these artists to come together and using this award-winning technology to create a more POWERFUL and IMMERSIVE performance. Combining art, design and technology artists are able to explore new methods in storytelling. For capturing events they use Virtual Reality (VR) tech, 360o Video and photography, with high quality 3D scans, for capturing the now and preserving it for future generations. All the content can be accessed and viewed through platforms on mobile, desktop, tablets and VR Headsets. THE ARTISTS
Here is our full list of acts for our UNITY night and the vast number of themes being represented. Kicking of our first night with a truly cultural explosion. Representing the URBAN, HIP HOP, R&B, and SOUL scene then finishing the night off is DRUM AND BASS. There is something for EVERYONE.
Tumi Williams aka SKUNKADELIC is an MC based in Cardiff. He constructs smooth, fresh records of clean raps, vintage funk samples and fleshed out scratching. He is recognisable in the UK Hip Hop scene and has written, recorded and toured with 9-piece fusion band Afro Cluster.
DIRTY ALEX is a hip-hop collective from Cardiff aiming to combine the sounds of live jazz musicians with the raw energy of talented rappers. Bringing together 3 EMCEE’s, their popular singer Sam Jones, a rhythm trio, and a colourful solo horn, bringing luxurious grooves, sensual Jazz, traditional hip-hop, politically inspired lyrics and trumpet playing.
LUKE RV is a singer – songwriter from South Wales. His new EP Going nowhere was recently released and has also been nominated for a welsh music prize.
KING KHAN a music producer, rapper and artist based in Cardiff. Bringing fresh takes to the current British Rap scene. He made a name for himself after his self-released debut album ‘Lovesongs & Melodrama’ in 2019. He uses his own unique style of production that blends instrumentals with melodic hooks and lyrics.
Cardiff based Welsh rapper MACE THE GREAT has been making a name for himself in the UK grime and rap scene. He carries his love for his city through his music. His new song “Brave” is a powerful anthem referencing current issues such as the Black Lives Matter movement.
ELLICE also known as E11ICE and ellicedabeast on Instagram. Combining her soulful voice and mad rapping skills, she writes about her day to day struggles and turns them into something beautiful.
JOSH DEEN – “DEENIO” is a British Trinidadian, singer/songwriter, Producer and Experimental R&B Artis, with music influences of Lo-Fi R&B Productions to Dark Alternatives. Associating with Slow Trap Rhythms and Explicit Hard Knocking Beats for the audience to feel completely immersed in his music.
SULEIMAN ATTA singer, Songwriter, music Producer is an artist with influences of R&B, with the elements of Pop and House music. He performs with an Acoustic guitar, whilst singing using Jamaican rhythm with electronic, synth-wave and R&B vibes in his songs.
EADYTH CRAWFORD is a bilingual Electro-Soul artist from Merthyr Tydfil. Eadyth has self-released several singles and has received radio support via BBC Wales & Radio Cymru. Eadyth has performed at many festivals and venues across Wales including Brecon Jazz Festival and Festival of The Celts. Eadyth's track BREAK, was recently featured in a list of '33 essential songs from Wales' playlist created by Media Wales.
Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Sizwe ‘SZWÉ’ Chitiyo is a 22-year-old artist based in South Wales. After starting his music career 14 years ago, Sizwe played acoustic sets around South Wales before venturing into soul, RnB and Hip hop.
Closing our unity night is INCURZION AUDIOs takeover featuring DJ CLÜ AND WIZ MC. Will Powell as WIZ MC who writes and sings soulful lyrics with rhymes along with his friend Dj clü with the Drum and Bass music scene using nice smooth rhythms and beats. They are part of the Independent Drum and Bass Record Label (INCURZION AUDIO) based in Penarth, South Wales.
